Faihan Highlights Role of Accountability and Justice Commission in Political Process


Baghdad: The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Adnan Faihan al-Dulaimi, has emphasized the critical national responsibility of the Accountability and Justice Commission in safeguarding the political process. In a recent meeting with Jabbar Hardan Salman, head of the Supreme National Commission for Accountability and Justice, Faihan discussed the Commission’s role in preserving the democratic process and strengthening state institutions.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Faihan highlighted that the Commission plays a crucial role in preventing the return and infiltration of the banned Ba’ath Party, which is essential for protecting state institutions. He reiterated that the presidency of the Commission is a legitimate and national responsibility, requiring the utmost commitment and diligence to uphold the law.



Faihan assured that Parliament is committed to providing a conducive environment and necessary support for the Commission to perform its duties efficiently and independently. This support aims to strengthen the foundations of the state and its institutions, ensuring the protection of the democratic process.
