Finance Minister Engages Diyala Governor and Audit Board in Service Enhancement Talks

Baghdad: The Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, engaged in substantive discussions with the Governor of Diyala and the Deputy Head of the Board of Financial Control to explore strategies for enhancing service delivery and oversight integration within the governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Minister Sami emphasized the ministry's commitment to bolstering field operations across governorates, focusing on simplifying procedures and improving job performance efficiency. She highlighted the importance of coordination with the Federal Board of Supreme Audit to ensure the integrity of legal and administrative processes, which is crucial for maintaining discipline in the execution of government plans and programs.

The Ministry of Finance issued a statement noting that the meeting served as a platform to review opportunities for direct coordination between the ministry, local government, and oversight bodies. This collaboration aims to enhance administrative and service performance in Diyala Governorate.

Discussion points included strategies to support significant projects underway in the governorate and to address any technical challenges that could impede timely completion.
