Fire Devastates Hitler’s Historic “Eagle’s Nest” in Bavaria

Berchtesgaden:Bavaria German police announced the apprehension of a suspect following a significant fire at Adolf Hitler’s former mountain retreat, known as the “Eagle’s Nest,” in Bavaria. The building was found fully engulfed in flames.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the suspect has been taken into temporary custody following the discovery of the fire. The historical site, known as the “Kehlsteinhaus,” was a location where Hitler relaxed with his partner, Eva Braun, and wrote part of “Mein Kampf.”

The fire, which broke out on Friday, required the efforts of approximately 200 firefighters and emergency personnel in the Berchtesgaden area of southern Germany. This building, constructed in 1938, served as a guesthouse for Nazi officials and visitors and is situated in the Alps, separate from Hitler’s summer residence, the “Berghof.”

Following World War II, the state of Bavaria took ownership of the property, designating it a historical landmark to serve as a reminder of the Nazi era.
