Iraqi Oil Exports Surpass $37 Billion in First Nine Months of 2026

Baghdad:The “Eco Iraq” Observatory has reported that Iraqi crude oil exports have generated approximately $37.39 billion, with a total of 533.46 million barrels exported in the first nine months of 2026.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, this information was detailed in an official document from the State Oil Marketing Organization (SOMO) that was addressed to the Iraqi Parliament. The document specified that from January to September 2026, the total volume of oil exported was 533,459,327 barrels, valued at $37,388,384,828. It was also noted that the funds deposited into the Central Bank of Iraq’s account amounted to $33,511,194,387.

The Observatory provided further insights into the exports through the Turkish port of Ceyhan, explaining that the northern oil exports amounted to 50,757,644 barrels, averaging about 188,000 barrels per day. Meanwhile, oil from the Kurdistan Region totaled 25,095,454 barrels, with a daily average of approximately 93,000 barrels.

The Observatory has highlighted the necessity of improving transparency in the publication of oil export data and revenues. This is crucial to ensure that the reported quantities of oil exports match the financial proceeds.
