Kirkuk: The first direct flight to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, departed today from Kirkuk International Airport. This marks a significant milestone in the expansion of Kirkuk's air travel connections.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the launch of this route is part of the Kirkuk International Airport administration's ongoing efforts to develop air traffic. This new route to Baku follows the successful introduction of flights to other international destinations, including Dubai, Lebanon, Antalya, Trabzon, and Medina.
