Baghdad: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received a copy of the credentials of the new Egyptian Ambassador to Iraq, Ahmed Hussein Khafaji, at the Ministry building in Baghdad on Wednesday. During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the strength of the bilateral relations between Iraq and Egypt, noting the importance of continuing to work on enhancing and developing joint cooperation in various fields, in a way that serves the common interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Minister expressed the Foreign Ministry’s readiness to provide the necessary support and facilities to the Egyptian Ambassador to contribute to the success of his diplomatic mission and strengthen cooperation and coordination between the two countries. For his part, Ambassador Ahmed Hussein Khafaji praised the deep historical and fraternal relations that bind Iraq and Egypt, affirming his country’s keenness to enhance prospects for bilateral cooperation and consolidate relations between the two countries in various fields, in a way that achieves the common interests of the two brotherly peoples.
