Rome: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein emphasized the importance of strengthening and developing bilateral relations between Iraq and Italy across various fields.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during his meeting with the staff of the Iraqi Embassies in Rome and the Vatican, the Minister reviewed the latest political developments in Iraq, particularly focusing on the electoral process. He highlighted the broad voter participation and the smooth conduct of the elections, which he stated reflects the citizens' awareness and commitment to the democratic process.

He also stressed the importance of the upcoming steps related to forming the government and emphasized the necessity of proceeding within the constitutional framework. This approach aims to meet the aspirations of the Iraqi people and reinforce political and institutional stability in the country.

The Minister further addressed the significance of Iraq-Italy bilateral relations, underscoring the need to enhance and develop these ties in political, economic, and cultural fields. He noted that such efforts would serve the common interests of both friendly countries.
