Foreign Ministers of Iraq and Saudi Arabia Discuss Regional Tensions Over Phone


Baghdad: Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein discussed with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan the latest developments in the region, given the escalating tensions and their dangerous repercussions on the security and stability of the region’s countries.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, both sides emphasized in a telephone call the importance of working to contain the escalation and return to the path of negotiations and dialogue, which would contribute to resolving disputes peacefully and prevent the widening of the tension and its impact on the region’s security and stability.



The Foreign Minister stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation between the two countries, as well as continued coordination with relevant countries regarding regional developments, and expressed his gratitude to the Saudi Minister for his telephone call.
