Baghdad: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday that Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi will visit Iran at the end of this week and sign several memoranda of understanding in the field of joint cooperation.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stated that Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, Mohammad Hussein Bahr Al-Uloom, received the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadeq, at the Ministry’s headquarters.

The discussions between the two officials centered on the bilateral relations between Iraq and Iran. They also outlined the agenda for the Prime Minister’s upcoming visit to Tehran and the ongoing preparations for this significant diplomatic engagement. The visit is expected to culminate in the signing of several memoranda of understanding aimed at enhancing joint cooperation.

The Ministry emphasized that these agreements are designed to strengthen bilateral relations and serve the common interests of both countries. The planned visit and the expected agreements underscore the commitment of Iraq and Iran to work closely in areas of mutual benefit, fostering a collaborative approach to regional challenges.
