Kirkuk: Loading of premium gasoline destined for Kirkuk Governorate from the Northern Investment Refinery, which supplies Kirkuk, has been halted. A source stated that due to a technical malfunction in the testing equipment belonging to the Oil Pipelines Company, loading and supplying Kirkuk's stations has stopped until further notice.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the shutdown of the gas production plant in Kor Mall has led to a decrease in gas supply to Kirkuk's gas-fired power plants, resulting in a reduction of Kirkuk's share of the national grid to 650 megawatts. Only three out of twelve generating units are currently operational across Kirkuk, and power outages have increased to more than 16.5 hours daily in most parts of the governorate.
