Gas Pipeline Fire Extinguished West of Kirkuk

Kirkuk: Technical teams successfully extinguished a fire that erupted this afternoon in a gas pipeline located on the Kirkuk/Al-Fatha road. The fire was caused by high temperatures and corrosion of the pipeline.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the technical teams responded promptly to the incident, managing to control and extinguish the fire. The situation was handled efficiently, ensuring that the fire did not spread or cause further damage. The affected pipeline had been vulnerable due to prolonged exposure to high temperatures, which, combined with existing corrosion, led to the fire outbreak.

Efforts are underway to assess the damage and determine the necessary repairs for the pipeline. Authorities are also investigating the incident to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
