Ankara: German Chancellor Friedrich Merz arrived in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on Tuesday to participate in the 36th NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government. Merz’s arrival marks a significant moment as leaders gather to address pressing issues affecting the alliance and global security.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Merz’s plane landed at Ankara Airport, where he was received by Turkish Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur zdemir G¶ktas and other officials. The summit, hosted by Turkey on Tuesday and Wednesday, is the second of its kind in the country following the Istanbul Summit in 2004.
