Karbala: The Governor of the Holy City of Karbala, Engineer Nassif Jassim Al-Khattabi, recently engaged in discussions with Sattar Hashemi, the Minister of Communications of the Islamic Republic of Iran, along with his delegation. The focus of the talks was on enhancing joint cooperation in the field of information technology, with an emphasis on leveraging advanced Iranian expertise to benefit the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iranian Minister of Communications commended the efforts made by Karbala in managing the influx of millions of pilgrims and providing exemplary services, particularly to Iranian visitors. He noted that the development seen in the governorate is a testament to the efficiency of its local administration.

The Governor expressed his commitment to broadening cooperation and exploring opportunities for joint ventures in the technological sector. He also highlighted the governorate's readiness to activate and enhance agreements with relevant federal ministries to improve services for both citizens and visitors.
