Baghdad: The Minister of Health, Dr. Abdul Hussein Al-Moussawi, engaged in a pivotal meeting with Lieutenant General Saad Maan, head of the Security Media Cell at the Joint Operations Command, to explore strategies for enhancing collaboration and coordination aimed at bolstering Iraq’s health security system.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Health released a statement detailing the discussions held during the meeting. Dr. Al-Moussawi and Lieutenant General Maan focused on the importance of increasing coordination between health and security institutions. They emphasized the exchange of expertise in managing crises and emergencies, as well as safeguarding health institutions and ensuring the safety of medical personnel. These efforts are intended to ensure the continuous delivery of health services to Iraqi citizens.

Dr. Al-Moussawi commended the security forces for their support of state institutions and highlighted that partnerships with security agencies are crucial. He noted that such collaborations serve as a key pillar in strengthening health security and providing a safe environment for health institutions and their staff.
