Baghdad: Health Minister Dr. Abdul Hussein Al-Moussawi directed the implementation of a series of administrative and organizational measures during his surprise evening field visit to Al-Karkh General Hospital in Baghdad on Sunday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry stated in a press release that the measures included accepting the dismissal of the hospital director and assigning the Director General of the ministry's Inspection Department to manage the hospital on an interim basis for two weeks. During this period, a comprehensive plan is to be submitted to address the hospital's deteriorating situation, ensuring the continuity of operations and improving the level of performance and health services. The minister also stressed the importance of fulfilling obligations towards patients and providing healthcare services befitting the citizens.
