Gaza: Israeli artillery shelled violently after midnight last night in southern Gaza, while the shelling of a house in the Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza resulted in a number of martyrs and wounded. Ambulance teams are still trying to rescue missing people under the rubble. Local sources reported hearing successive explosions north of the Nuseirat camp in the center of the Strip, while Israeli warplanes targeted the city of Rafah in the south, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of several citizens.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, “WAFA” later stated that a number of martyrs and wounded fell in an Israeli shelling that targeted homes and sites in Nuseirat and Khan Yunis in the Gaza Strip. In the northern Gaza Strip, Israeli forces continued to target health institutions, as Kamal Adwan, Al-Awda, and Indonesian hospitals were directly shelled, causing significant damage to these hospitals.
Medical sources from Kamal Adwan Hospital reported that the artillery shelling targeted the hospital wards,
the nursery, the hospital yard, and the water tanks, seriously injuring a child. The Israeli army artillery also shelled the vicinity of Al-Awda Hospital in Jabalia camp, while an Israeli drone fired at the gate and walls of the Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahia town, causing panic among patients and healthcare teams.
Earlier, medics reported that Israeli forces intensified their shelling of the Gaza Strip on Sunday, killing at least 31 people, more than half of them in areas in the northern part of the Strip. Palestinians described the new major air and ground military offensive and forced evacuation orders as “ethnic cleansing” aimed at evacuating two towns and two camps in the northern Gaza Strip of their residents to create buffer zones.
