Baghdad: The House of Representatives decided in its session today, Sunday, to postpone the vote on the draft law concerning freedom of demonstration and peaceful assembly. This decision comes after the completion of the second reading, which includes the report and discussion, of the draft law aimed at regulating the rights of victims related to three significant incidents.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the draft law under consideration addresses the rights of victims from Ibn al-Khatib Hospital, the victims of the al-Naqa Center, and those affected by the al-Hamdaniya incident. The second reading marks a critical step in the legislative process, as the House of Representatives evaluates the implications and necessary measures to ensure justice and rights for those impacted by these tragic events.
