Baghdad: The Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service (ICTS) announced on Sunday the launch of a large-scale security operation in Nineveh Governorate as part of proactive efforts to pursue remnants of the ISIS terrorist group.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Service stated, "Based on precise intelligence, Counter-Terrorism Service units launched a large-scale security operation in Nineveh Governorate, specifically in the Hamdaniya district and Bartella sub-district, as part of proactive efforts to pursue remnants of the ISIS terrorist group and enhance security and stability in the governorate."

The operation led to the discovery of various damaged materials, including missiles, mines, bombs, and improvised explosive devices, which were safely disposed of and destroyed without incident. The ICTS emphasized that these actions are part of their ongoing security plans to maintain stability and enhance readiness across all sectors.
