Baghdad: The Federal Integrity Commission announced on Sunday the issuance of 27 arrest warrants and summonses against high-ranking officials last August.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Commission’s activities during August included 191 arrests, with 78 individuals apprehended in the act, and 27 arrest warrants and summonses issued against high-ranking officials. The statement further detailed that 75 judicial convictions were issued, resulting in 81 individuals being convicted.

Additionally, the Commission processed 53 cases for the extradition of fugitives and the recovery of smuggled funds. In terms of financial oversight, 3,449 forms were submitted for financial disclosure. Among those required to disclose their financial status, 11 were found to have conflicts of interest.

The Commission also conducted 71 performance monitoring visits in state institutions, and it produced 3 reports diagnosing work problems, obstacles, and negative phenomena, along with following up on their resolution. Furthermore, the Commission’s outreach included 13 printed publications and television and radio programs, and its research efforts, studies, statistical reports, courses, workshops, and seminars totaled 71.
