Baghdad: The General Directorate of Intelligence and Security has disclosed the capture of a high-profile terrorist suspect wanted under Article (4) of the Terrorism Act.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate revealed in a press release that the arrest followed precise intelligence and comprehensive field surveillance conducted by the Director of the Intelligence and Security Directorate of Babylon Governorate. The intelligence indicated the presence of a suspect pursued by the judiciary under the specified article. In response, a specialized force was formed comprising the Special Intelligence Missions Cell and detachments from the Intelligence and Security Directorate of Babylon Governorate, all under the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security. The force executed the arrest swiftly, targeting the suspect who had been on the Directorate’s radar.
