Baghdad: The Ministry of Interior announced today the arrest of 351 individuals for violating the residence law in Baghdad and various governorates.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Interior Ministry Spokesman, Brigadier Miqdad Miri, stated in a press release that the arrests were part of a broad campaign initiated under the directives of the Minister of Interior. This operation was executed by the Directorate of Civil Status, Passports and Residence under the supervision of its general manager. The campaign specifically targeted violators of the residence law across Baghdad and the governorates, successfully apprehending individuals of different nationalities. Legal measures will be undertaken against the violators, followed by their deportation.
The Directorate of Civil Status, Passports and Residence has urged citizens not to accommodate individuals who violate residence controls and conditions, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the law to avoid legal repercussions.
