Muscat: An Iranian Foreign Ministry official confirmed on Sunday that the postponement of the Oman meeting came at the request of some countries in the region. The official emphasized that the decision to delay the meeting was a collaborative agreement between Tehran and Muscat.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iranian news agency IRNA reported that the postponement was a mutual decision influenced by the requests from other nations in the region. The meeting, initially scheduled to be held in Salalah, was put on hold after discussions between Iran and Oman.

Earlier on Sunday, Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi announced the delay of the regional meeting, which was set to take place the following day. The postponement highlights the complexities and diplomatic sensitivities involved in regional discussions.
