Iran Expresses Readiness to Mediate Between Afghanistan and Pakistan


Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi expressed his country’s readiness to mediate between Afghanistan and Pakistan, amid escalating tensions between the two sides following border clashes.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araqchi stated, “The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to help facilitate dialogue and promote understanding between Afghanistan and Pakistan.” His remarks highlight Iran’s willingness to act as an intermediary to ease the strained relations between its neighboring countries.



Araqchi further emphasized the significance of the holy month of Ramadan, describing it as a period of restraint and strengthening unity in the Islamic world. He urged Afghanistan and Pakistan to resolve their differences through good neighborliness and dialogue, reflecting a call for peaceful resolution and cooperation within the region.
