Baghdad: Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, condemned the US attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities. At a press conference, Araqchi stated that the US administration bears full responsibility for the serious repercussions of the attack.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Araqchi emphasized that Iran will continue to defend its sovereignty and territory. He asserted that Iran has the right to self-defense and reserves the options to respond accordingly. The minister called on the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to fulfill its legal duties in response to what he described as a dangerous attack on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities.

Araqchi further described the US action as a violation of Security Council resolutions and urged the Council to convene an emergency session. He reiterated that Iran’s nuclear facilities are under international supervision and called for a legal response from the IAEA to address the situation.
