Iranian President Denounces War and Criticizes U.S. Policies

Tehran:Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has asserted that war is not beneficial for Iran, the region, or the world, emphasizing the need for peaceful negotiations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Pezeshkian made these remarks during a meeting with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Asim Munir. In the meeting, Pezeshkian insisted that the United States must end its pressures, threats, and sanctions before any negotiations can commence.

President Pezeshkian criticized Washington’s claims as lacking any basis and highlighted Iran’s demonstration of good faith in negotiations and inspections concerning its nuclear program. He reiterated that war is not in the interest of any nation, including the United States, and expressed Iran’s ongoing readiness for dialogue. However, he stressed that the U.S. must first remove its threats and sanctions, pointing out that American actions are inconsistent with its calls for negotiations.
