Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed on Sunday that the memorandum of understanding with the United States will be the cornerstone of Iran's future foreign relations. Pezeshkian emphasized the significance of this agreement in shaping the diplomatic trajectory between Tehran and Washington.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, President Pezeshkian shared his thoughts on the X platform, underscoring the central role of the memorandum in Iran's international engagements. He stated, "The memorandum of understanding with America will be the cornerstone of our future foreign relations."
The Iranian leader further elaborated on the importance of ensuring compliance with the agreement, urging efforts to compel Washington to adhere to its commitments. He remarked, "We must exert our efforts to compel Washington to abide by what it signed in the memorandum of understanding."
Pezeshkian also highlighted the collaborative nature of the agreement, crediting the collective wisdom of the Supreme National Security Council for its development. He noted that the council's members are united in their support for the memorandum, reflecting a consensus within Iran's leadership.
