Iranian Security Official Warns of Comprehensive War Preparedness

Tehran:A high-ranking Iranian security source has confirmed that Iran is prepared for a comprehensive, multi-layered, and large-scale war. The official warned that any new act of aggression against Iran would be met with a response targeting the interests and objectives of the aggressors and their regional backers.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iranian channel “Press TV” reported that Tehran has made a “decisive decision” to respond to any aggression, including killings and assassinations, without any restrictions or constraints. The source emphasized that the Iranian armed forces are on high alert to deliver crushing blows against the interests and targets of the aggressors and their supporters in the region.

The security official also noted that Iran does not believe that the United States would launch an attack without the participation of Israel, nor does it consider it likely that Israel would act alone against Iran without Washington’s involvement. He dismissed the notion of either party acting independently as a “bitter joke,” stating that threats from American and Israeli officials provide Tehran with a legal and moral justification to take necessary defensive measures.

In mid-June, Tehran and Washington signed a memorandum to cease hostilities; however, they resumed exchanging strikes shortly thereafter. While direct combat has ceased, the United States is now relying on economic pressure against Iran. The ongoing escalation surrounding Iran, stemming from the U.S.-Israeli campaign against it, has paralyzed navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital conduit for oil and gas supplies from the Gulf, leading to a rise in fuel and industrial goods prices globally.
