Tehran: Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei issued a message on Friday, marking “Government Week,” urging authorities to continue working towards a “stronger Iran,” focusing on economic and livelihood issues and maintaining social cohesion.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in his message, Khamenei stated that “the government faces various restrictions and conspiracies from the American-Zionist enemy, as well as intensified sanctions and blockades.” He praised the government’s efforts in securing goods and services, repairing damaged sites, and managing the energy sector.

He emphasized the need to highlight Iran’s strength, capabilities, and positive aspects, warning that “announcing weaknesses under certain circumstances could greatly aid the enemy and cause anxiety among supporters.”

Regarding the economy, he called for addressing inflation and unemployment, managing prices, and revitalizing the goods and services market. He also advocated for increasing investment and directing it towards needed sectors, boosting domestic production, and reducing the dollar’s central role in economic policies.

He affirmed that increasing reliance on domestic production is the “key” to addressing economic challenges, while allowing imports only when domestic production is insufficient.

In another point, he stressed the need to preserve unity and social cohesion, calling for consideration of the impact of cultural, social, political, security, and economic decisions on this cohesion.
