Tehran: The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that two employees of the French Embassy in Tehran are persona non grata.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s announcement came in response to what it described as activities violating international law and the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. The ministry explained that the decision came weeks after the illegal conduct was exposed, without the French government taking any steps to rectify the behavior and ensure it would not be repeated.

It added that, according to the decision, the two diplomats in question are banned from entering Iranian territory.
