Riyadh:Minister of Electricity Ali Saadi Waheeb engaged in discussions on Monday about potential cooperation in the energy sector with Saudi Minister of Energy and Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the WPC Energy conference held in Riyadh. The Iraqi Minister of Oil, Basim Mohammed Khudair Al-Abadi, was also present during the discussions.

The talks focused on strengthening joint coordination and supporting the stability of the electrical grid. Both parties examined the importance of expanding areas of cooperation and maintaining coordination, which would benefit the priorities of both Iraq and Saudi Arabia in the energy sector.

The discussions aimed to contribute to the development of energy sector partnerships and the realization of mutual interests between the two nations.
