Baghdad: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral and Legal Affairs, Ambassador Shorsh Khalid Saeed, received the Ambassador of Ukraine to Baghdad, Ivan Dovhanych, at his office in the Ministry headquarters, accompanied by Ambassador Dr. Falah Al-Saadi, Head of the Consular Department.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that the meeting focused on several issues of mutual interest, notably the status of Iraqi citizens and students in Ukraine. There was also an emphasis on strengthening mutual support for nominations for positions in international organizations.

The discussions included the political situation between Ukraine and Russia, as well as the outcomes of recent negotiation rounds between the two nations. The Undersecretary reiterated Iraq's commitment to facilitating a peaceful resolution through dialogue, aiming to enhance regional stability and peace.
