Baghdad: The Director of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, confirmed that September 30 is set as the date for the conclusion of the international coalition forces’ mission in Iraq and the beginning of a new phase in relations and cooperation.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Security Media Commission announced that Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari held separate meetings with the Charg© d’Affaires of the United Kingdom’s Embassy and the Ambassador of Turkey to Iraq. During these meetings, they discussed topics of mutual interest and reviewed the progress in cooperation between Iraq and these countries to strengthen shared interests and support bilateral collaboration.

Al-Shammari emphasized that September 30 marks a significant transition point, where the mission of the international coalition forces in Iraq will end, paving the way for a new chapter of relations based on shared interests and mutual respect. This transition aligns with Iraq’s vision of establishing balanced relationships with nations globally and contributing to the reinforcement of security and stability.
