Iraq Condemns Attacks Threatening National Security and Stability


Baghdad: Iraq has strongly condemned recent attacks targeting areas in central Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, deeming them a threat to the nation’s security and stability.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Saturday emphasizing Iraq’s stance against wars and its commitment to resolving conflicts through negotiations.



The Ministry’s statement expressed strong denunciation of the aggressive acts, warning that these attacks aim to embroil Iraq in the ongoing regional conflict. Iraq’s policy, as reiterated by the Ministry, is to condemn wars and advocate for peaceful negotiations, highlighting its supportive role in the recent discussions between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America.



Furthermore, the Ministry condemned military actions against neighboring Iran and stressed that escalating the conflict endangers all countries in the region. The statement also conveyed solidarity with Gulf states targeted by attacks, urging respect for national sovereignty and adherence to international law to prevent further escalation.



The Ministry reaffirmed its dedication to diplomatic solutions and constructive dialogue to maintain regional security and stability.
