Baghdad: Iraq welcomed the positive results of the talks between the leaders of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Syrian government, which led to the unification of the armed forces through the decision to integrate the SDF into Syrian state institutions.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this step represents an important development in the path of strengthening Syria’s stability and sovereignty. The integration aims to contribute to broader participation in governance and fulfill the aspirations of the Syrian people for security, peace, and stability.

The Ministry reiterated Iraq’s support for efforts aimed at strengthening Syria’s unity, sovereignty, and stability. It emphasized that Syrian state institutions should serve as the unifying framework for all components of the Syrian people.
