Iraqi Embassy in Tehran Forms Committee to Address Attack on Students in Semnan


Tehran: The Iraqi embassy in Tehran has announced the establishment of a committee to investigate and follow up on an attack against Iraqi students in the Semnan province.



According to Iraqi News Agency, the Iraqi ambassador to Tehran, Yasser Abdul Zahra, revealed that the embassy received reports concerning a misunderstanding and verbal altercation involving a group of Iraqi students, which escalated into an attack. In response, the embassy quickly formed a special committee that traveled to the students’ residence to manage the situation and address its repercussions in coordination with relevant authorities.



The ambassador emphasized that the Iraqi embassy is diligently monitoring the circumstances of Iraqi students across various Iranian provinces. He assured that the diplomatic mission remains committed to preventing any form of transgression or abuse against Iraqi students, pledging to provide them with necessary protection and support to guarantee their safety and rights.



Abdul Zahra also urged Iraqi students in Iran to respect the country’s environmental and social context, encouraging them to maintain discipline, student awareness, and mutual respect.
