Iraqi Journalists Syndicate Condemns Threats Against Judicial Head


Baghdad: The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate has condemned the threats targeting Faiq Zaidan, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council. In a statement issued on Wednesday, the syndicate expressed its strong disapproval of the threats, emphasizing the importance of the judiciary in maintaining Iraq’s rule of law, sovereignty, and stability.



According to Iraqi News Agency, the syndicate highlighted the role of the judiciary as a constitutional and legal institution vital for the country’s governance. The statement underscored that threats against the judiciary undermine its ability to perform its duties effectively. The syndicate further asserted that Zaidan, as the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, serves as the guarantor of security for Iraq, safeguarding the rights and unity of its people and institutions.
