Baghdad: The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Iraqi Media Network (IMN), Thaer Al-Ghanimi, emphasized the importance of the IMN’s educational role in addressing environmental issues professionally. This was highlighted during a meeting with the Minister of Environment, Sarwa Abdul Wahid, where they discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation and employ media capabilities to deliver environmental messages to the public.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the meeting was attended by the Advisor to the Speaker of Parliament for Media and Culture Affairs, Jaafar Al-Wannan. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the Iraqi Media Network and the Ministry of Environment, aiming to support environmental issues and raise public awareness of environmental risks and challenges.

The discussions underscored the media’s role in highlighting national efforts aimed at environmental protection and mitigating the effects of pollution and climate change. Both parties agreed on the importance of using various media platforms to disseminate environmental messages to the public and promote awareness among citizens.
