Iraqi Prime Minister Seeks Global Investment for Mosul Airport Development

Mosul:Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi has extended an invitation to international companies specializing in airport management and operations to invest in Mosul International Airport. The goal is to enhance its services in a way that reflects the cultural significance and rich history of Nineveh Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s Media Office released a statement revealing that Al-Zaidi initiated the implementation phase of the one-million residential plots project during his visit to Mosul. He also evaluated the progress of various service and development projects across the governorate, including the airport.

The Prime Minister emphasized Mosul’s role as a major cultural gateway for Iraq and a crucial link to the international community. He underscored the government’s dedication to completing essential projects in Nineveh to satisfy the economic and service-related aspirations of its residents.

Al-Zaidi pointed out that Mosul International Airport is not merely a service infrastructure project but an essential gateway for both Nineveh and Iraq. This is particularly significant following the decision to reintegrate the governorate into the aviation and investment landscape.

He further explained that the government aims to attract international firms capable of forming strategic partnerships that transcend merely constructing a passenger terminal or service facilities. The ultimate goal is to transform Mosul International Airport into a comprehensive service hub that fosters economic growth, enhances Nineveh’s standing, and generates new development and investment opportunities.
