Beirut: The Iraqi Red Crescent Society has announced the dispatch of a new shipment of relief aid to displaced families in Lebanon, coinciding with the onset of winter and the increased need for basic necessities among affected families.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Society indicated that the aid shipment includes large quantities of tents and blankets, aiming to address the acute shortage and mitigate the exceptional circumstances faced by displaced families during the harsh cold. The shipment was officially handed over to the Lebanese Red Cross, which will manage the direct and on-the-ground distribution to eligible families in various displacement areas within Lebanon.

The Society noted that this initiative is part of the ongoing humanitarian efforts provided by the Iraqi Red Crescent Society to support affected families in Lebanon and alleviate the burdens on the most vulnerable groups affected by the recent crises.
