Baghdad: Our youth national football team defeated Thailand 3-1 to qualify for the Asian Cup finals being held in Thailand, topping Group F.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the goals for the Iraqi youth team were scored by Muammal Malik, who netted twice, and Aws Ghazi in the 11th, 20th, and 45th minutes, respectively. With this victory, the Iraqi youth team secured their place in the Asian Cup finals, leading Group F with 6 points.

This win gave the Iraqi youth team the edge over Thailand on goal difference and head-to-head record. The Thai team, also with 6 points, scored 2 goals and conceded 3, while Iraq scored 6 goals and conceded 3, resulting in a goal difference of +3 for Iraq compared to -1 for Thailand.
