Baghdad: Iraq’s exports of oil derivatives exceeded 4 million tons during the final quarter of last year. The State Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) announced the export of three oil products totaling more than 4 million tons of oil derivatives from October to December 2024.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, SOMO reported that Iraq exported 4,465,749 tons of oil derivatives in the last quarter. The data revealed a significant increase in fuel oil exports, with a total of 4,216,145 tons exported, compared to 2,796,606 tons during the same period in 2023.
The report further detailed that Iraq exported 194,637 tons of naphtha. Additionally, jet fuel exports amounted to 54,967 tons, contributing to the overall export figures for the last quarter of 2024.
