Washington: The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced that Iraqi oil exports to the United States exceeded 200,000 barrels per day last week.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, in its statistics, the EIA stated that “the average US crude oil imports last week from nine major countries reached 5.585 million barrels per day, a decrease of 649,000 barrels per day from the previous week’s 6.234 million barrels per day.”
The report added that “the average Iraqi oil exports to the US reached 251,000 barrels per day, an increase of 42,000 barrels per day from the previous week’s 209,000 barrels per day.”
The EIA indicated that “the largest share of US oil imports last week came from Canada, followed by Colombia, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico.”
According to the data, “US crude oil imports continued from Ecuador, Venezuela, Brazil, and Nigeria, while no oil was imported from Libya.”

il consumption is estimated at about 20 million barrels, making it the world’s largest oil consumer.
