Baghdad:The President of Iraq, Nizar Amidi, emphasized the country’s dedication to promoting peace and fostering good relations with neighboring countries. He made these remarks during a speech at the 50th anniversary celebration of the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils in Baghdad.

According to Iraqi News Agency, President Amidi expressed pride in hosting the federation’s anniversary in Baghdad, highlighting the city’s historical significance as a center of knowledge and culture. He congratulated the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils and researchers for their contributions to science and knowledge.

President Amidi acknowledged the dual nature of scientific and technological advancements, noting the positive impacts and the associated risks related to life, the environment, climate, and artificial intelligence. He stressed the importance of cooperation and expertise exchange among scientific councils to address these challenges effectively.

He called for valuing scientific insights and fostering collaboration among educational and governmental institutions to keep pace with advancements and address the misuse of technology. President Amidi reaffirmed Iraq’s commitment to working collaboratively to navigate regional crises and pursue a stable future.
