Doha: Iraq’s youth team has been placed in Group B following the Gulf Cup draw for Under-17s, set to take place in Doha from October 16 to November 4, 2026. The Gulf Football Federation revealed the results of the draw, positioning Iraq alongside Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Yemen, and Egypt in the group.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Gulf Football Federation had earlier announced that this year’s tournament will see the participation of 10 teams, the largest in its history. Notably, Egypt and China are joining the competition, with Qatar hosting the prestigious event. Iraq’s team finds itself in Pot 2, ready to compete against strong regional opponents.
