IRGC Apprehends Terrorist Team in Southeastern Iran

Saravan: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) forces have identified and arrested a team linked to terrorist groups in Saravan County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the IRGC’s Quds Headquarters in Southeast Iran released a statement on Wednesday detailing the arrests, which were carried out during ongoing drills titled Security Martyrs-2. The detained group has been involved in several terrorist acts in the Saravan region over the past year.

The operation was the result of a series of precise intelligence measures that enabled security forces to identify and apprehend the team. Initial confessions from the suspects revealed that they had planned and executed targeted operations against security personnel in Saravan, acting under the direction of anti-Iran terrorist groups.

Saravan County is located approximately 347 kilometers southeast of Zahedan, the provincial capital, and is situated near the border with Pakistan.
