Tehran: IRGC Commander-in-Chief Major General Mohammad Pakpour has issued a stern warning that any miscalculation by adversaries in the Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, or the three Iranian islands will face a forceful retaliation.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Major General Pakpour made these remarks during the IRGC Navy Day celebrations. He highlighted the IRGC Navy’s role as a pillar of security in the Gulf and the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, as well as the surrounding waters of Iran.
He elaborated on the capabilities of the IRGC’s naval forces, noting their expertise in surface and subsurface combat, missile deployment, drone operations, and electronic and cyber warfare. He stated that these capabilities bolster the IRGC’s position as a strategic deterrent, conveying a message of strength to Iran’s adversaries and promoting security and stability in the region.
Pakpour further stressed the Revolutionary Guard’s commitment to maintaining high levels of combat readiness, intelligence, and operational preparedness. He reiterated that any misjudgment by opposing forces in these key areas would be met with a swift and decisive response, designed to ensure regret for those who underestimate Iran’s defensive capabilities.
