Gaza: The Zionist entity authorities released the fifth batch of detainees within the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip between Hamas and the Zionist occupation.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Palestinian News Agency /WAFA/ reported that the fifth batch includes 183 prisoners. Among these, 18 prisoners have been sentenced to life, 54 have high sentences, and 111 were detained from the Gaza Strip after October 7, 2023.
The Prisoners Club revealed that out of the released prisoners, 42 are from the West Bank, and 3 are from the occupied city of Quds. Additionally, 7 prisoners who were sentenced to life have been deported outside the country.
The situation near the “Ofer” prison was tense as the occupation forces turned the area into a closed military zone. Families of the detainees were prevented from gathering, and live bullets and toxic gas bombs were fired at them.
In a related move, Hamas handed over three Zionist prisoners to the International Committee of the Red Cross. This action is part of the fifth batch of the first phase of the prisoner exchange process with the Zionist occupation.
