Gaza city: Dozens of civilians have been killed in ongoing Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, with rescue operations continuing after a residential building collapsed on displaced people. Hospitals in the area have also been forced to cease operations amid the escalating conflict.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Gaza Strip has been subjected to a series of Israeli airstrikes and attacks from yesterday evening until 10:00 AM today. These aggressive measures have resulted in numerous casualties and have worsened the humanitarian situation. The collapse of the six-story “Al-Saada” building in the industrial area west of Gaza City has been particularly devastating, trapping many under the rubble, with approximately 100 people still unaccounted for.

The Civil Defense reported that 12 people were killed, including 5 children, and over 20 were injured. In a separate incident, Israeli aircraft launched three airstrikes on the Al-Sumoud camp in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, targeting tents of displaced individuals. These strikes resulted in the deaths of two people, including 8-year-old Amal Yasser Omar Al-Mughair, and injured 14 others.

An Israeli drone targeted an area near Al-Baydar in the Sheikh Ajlin neighborhood west of Gaza City, leading to the death of Nimer Ershi and injuring seven others. Additionally, another drone strike near the passport office west of Gaza City injured three Palestinians.

In a tragic incident off the coast of Deir al-Balah, fisherman Wissam Barham al-Aqra was killed by Israeli gunfire. Meanwhile, a child was admitted to al-Awda Hospital after being shot by Israeli forces east of the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Military operations have intensified on the outskirts of the Gaza Strip, with Israeli tanks and armored vehicles firing artillery and other weapons at areas east and south of Khan Younis, accompanied by helicopter activity and gunfire. In the northern region, Israeli tanks have targeted the al-Salatin area northwest of Gaza City, while armored vehicles have fired in the al-Atatra area of Beit Lahia.

The Israeli army conducted a large-scale bombing operation east of Gaza City and fired smoke grenades near Dar al-Salam Hospital east of Khan Younis. The Israeli Defense Minister announced the assassination of Nael Abu Obeid, the commander of the Rafah Brigade in Hamas.
