Tel aviv: The Israeli army announced today, Wednesday, that Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir has approved the plan to occupy Gaza City. This decision marks a significant development in the ongoing military operations in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Israeli army statement revealed that Chief of Staff General Eyal Zamir conducted a discussion on Wednesday. During this meeting, he approved the central idea of the Israel Defense Forces’ (IDF) operation plan in the Gaza Strip. The discussion included participation from the General Staff Forum, representatives of the Shin Bet, and other commanders, all contributing to the strategic planning.

The army’s statement further elaborated on the discussion, highlighting the IDF’s achievements so far, including the offensive in the Zeitoun area that commenced the previous day. The plan’s central idea for the subsequent steps in the Gaza Strip was presented and approved in alignment with the directives from the political echelon.

The Chief of Staff emphasized the necessity of enhancing the readiness of the forces. He also stressed the importance of preparing to call up reserve forces, while conducting refresher training and providing a breathing space to ensure preparedness for upcoming missions.
