Israeli Forces Incursion into Areas of Southern Quneitra Countryside

Quneitra: The Syrian News Agency SANA reported that Israeli army forces once again infiltrated areas of the southern Quneitra countryside on Wednesday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, it was stated that “an occupation force consisting of three vehicles, including two Hilux pickup trucks and a Hummer, infiltrated from the entrance of the town of Bir Ajam towards the village of Bariqa.” The forces had also infiltrated the area between the villages of Ruwayhina and Mushayrifa the previous day, establishing a temporary checkpoint at the intersection of the village of Umm al-Adham in the northern Quneitra countryside. They also infiltrated the village of al-Ashah, arresting a civilian, and established a temporary checkpoint between the village of Ain al-Ziwan and the town of Koudna in the southern Quneitra countryside.

The report highlights that Israel continues its policies and violates the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through incursions into southern Syria and actions against civilians. Syria consistently demands the withdrawal of Israeli forces from its territory, asserting that all actions taken by Israel in southern Syria are null and void under international law. Syria calls upon the international community to uphold its responsibilities and deter Israel’s practices.
